This guide walks through everything you need to do before, during, and after a bracelet-making workshop.

INFO

Pricing, duration, and the booking link above are placeholders -- fill these in from the actual event listing before publishing this page more widely.

Before the Event (Start [X] Minutes Early)

1. Prepare the Space

  • Clear tables and lay down a table covering (linen or cloth cover) at every station
  • Set out chairs with enough room for guests to swing a hammer safely
  • Keep the shared tool station within easy reach of every seat -- guests will take turns using the mandrel and larger stamp sets

2. Set Up the Shared Tool Station

These supplies are shared across the table rather than duplicated per guest:

ItemNotes
Bracelet mandrel (steel cone)The tall tapered steel form used to curve a flat stamped blank into a cuff shape
Ball-peen hammersOne per active stamping spot -- check both faces are clean and free of nicks
Bench blocks (steel anvils)One per hammer/stamping spot -- these absorb the impact so the table doesn't take the hit
Letter stamp setsFull alphabet sets in their cases (we keep several: uppercase, lowercase, alternate fonts)
Number stamp setFull 0-9 set in its case
Design/symbol stampsHearts, stars, or other decorative punches, if offered
Masking tapeUsed to mark a straight guideline on the blank before stamping
Rubber malletFor shaping the blank against the mandrel without marring the metal

3. Set Up Each Guest's Station

ItemNotes
Metal cuff blank (1)Let the guest choose a finish -- silver/steel, gold, copper, or colored (blue, etc.)
Practice strip (optional)A scrap blank to practice stamping pressure before the real piece
PencilFor guests who want to sketch their layout before stamping

TIP

Do a quick walk-through of the shared tool station before doors open -- count hammers and bench blocks against the number of active seats so nobody is waiting on a tool mid-session.

4. Set Up Check-In

  • Open staff.ncmuse.co and navigate to the event check-in page
  • Pull up the guest list for the session
  • Have a tablet or laptop at the entrance for scanning tickets or looking up names

During the Event

Staff Responsibilities

  • Check-in: Greet guests at the door, verify tickets, direct them to open stations
  • Safety: Hammering is loud and can pinch fingers -- keep an eye on new guests until they're comfortable with the technique
  • Assist: Help guests swap in a fresh blank if they make a mistake, and rotate access to the mandrel so everyone gets a turn to shape their piece
  • Support the instructor: The instructor leads the stamping demonstration and technique. Staff should stay available for logistics without interrupting the flow

Typical Workflow a Guest Follows

  1. Choose a blank finish and (optionally) sketch the design in pencil first
  2. Use masking tape to mark a straight guideline across the blank
  3. Stamp letters, numbers, or symbols into the blank using the shared stamp sets, hammer, and bench block
  4. Shape the stamped blank into a cuff using the mandrel and rubber mallet

After the Event

  • Return every letter/number stamp to its labeled case -- a missing stamp means the next set is incomplete
  • Wipe down bench blocks and the mandrel
  • Coil and store masking tape
  • Collect and store hammers and mallets
  • Follow the full Event Cleanup procedures once guests leave
